About

« Beyond Invisible » invites users on a voyage into the world of signs, opens doors into other dimensions of reality, allowing the User to venture into the world of augmented reality.

The premise is simple: after downloading the application, any person with an iPhone can see virtual objects located on and around real objects disseminated throughout the city’s urban landscape – in this case – fire hydrants.

The interactive website allows those who do not own an iPhone or are outside the City of Montreal, to participate in the experience, by visualising the virtual objects online through an interactive map and downloading of content.

Augmented reality allows virtual 2D or 3D objects to be superimposed to the environment in real time.

« Beyond Invisible » is a SAT  (Société des arts technologiques [SAT]) project, made possible thanks to the financial contributions made by Heritage Canada through the Canadian Interactive Fund, and the Quebec Ministère du Développement économique, Innovation et Exportation (MDEIE).
